MSP Noise Oversight Committee May 2021 Meeting UpdatePosted on May 14, 2021
The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) met this week on May 19 via Microsoft Teams. At this meeting, Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) staff provided an update on returning air service. On average, according to published airline schedules, the number of aircraft departures per day at MSP in June 2021 is expected to be 404, increasing to 432 average daily departures in July. The NOC also received an update from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Converging Runway Operations (CRO).
The NOC is an advisory board to the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) and is comprised of industry and community representatives who address aircraft noise issues associated with activity at MSP. The group meets on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months. The next meeting will be July 21, 2021 at 1:30 P.M.
