MSP Parallel Runway ClosuresPosted on June 3, 2021
Beginning at 11:00 PM tonight, June 16, construction and maintenance activities at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP), will result in the closures of both parallel runways (Runways 12L/30R and 12R/30L) overnight. Aircraft operating at MSP will use Runway 17/35 while the parallel runways are closed.
Typically, the parallel runways are used most often at MSP so you may notice unusual flight patterns in your community while arriving and departing aircraft are directed to Runway 17/35 instead.
Additional construction and maintenance activities may result in intermittent nighttime runway closures through the end of next week as needed.
Runway use information and flight activity are available on the MAC FlightTracker at: www.macnoise.com/tools-reports/flighttracker. Information about runway closures at MSP is available at: www.macnoise.com/tools-reports/runway-closures. Anyone with questions regarding airfield or aircraft noise and/or runway closures due to construction may call the Community Relations Office at 612-726-9411.
