MSP 2020 Improvements Project Open for Review and Comment

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in cooperation with the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), has completed a Final Environmental Assessment (EA)/Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) and drafted a Finding of No Significant Impact-Record of Decision (FONSI-ROD) for the 2020 Improvements projects at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). These documents are open for a 30-day public review and comment period, which closes Friday, February 8, 2013.

Update on the MAC's Action to Support Proposed FAA Procedures


At the request of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) recently took action related to the FAA's proposed Performance-based Navigation (PBN/RNAV) flight procedure changes for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Hundreds of community representatives and residents voiced their concerns about the proposed new procedures at the Commission's November 19, 2012 board meeting. Prior to the meeting thousands of emails and phone calls were received by Commissioners and MAC staff.

Open Houses Scheduled for MSP Performance Based Navigation


The Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) will be hosting two open houses for the Performance Based Navigation (PBN) procedures being considered by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for implementation at MSP. The open houses will be as follows:
